What can i say that hasn't already been said about the "brilliance" of Ed Wood films. Besides an assortment of Bela Lugosi and Criswell clips (most of which made no sense at all) we enjoyed ourselves some Bride of the Monster, one of
Ed Wood's masterpieces perhaps forever immortalized by Tim Burton's own work of genius, "
Ed Wood". But it's hard to top Bela Lugosi playing a mad scientist attempting to harness atomic energy to create his own race of atomic beings in order to rule the world. Of course, this never transpires and we merely witness lots of bad sets, poor acting and lurking about by his large bald henchman
Lobo, played by Swedish wrestler Tor Johnson. That's Ed Wood for you. And it wouldn't be complete without stock footage of an underwater octopus matched up (with no attention paid to continuity whatsoever) to shots of the actors writhing about in a foot-deep pool of water with an obviously
fake rubber octopus prop.
Best of all, it ends with a bold of lightning and a "Big Explosion!"
